Accredited Drug Testing offers a variety of testing methods tailored to customer needs. Urine testing, with a detection window of 1 to 5 days, is predominantly used by employers, legal authorities, and educational institutions. In contrast, hair drug and alcohol testing, offering approximately a 90-day detection period, is increasingly popular.
Common Urine/Hair Drug Testing Options
Both the 5-panel urine and 5-panel hair drug tests screen for the same substances, but offer different detection windows. While a urine test can identify drug use within 1-5 days, a hair test provides results extending up to 90 days post-specimen collection.

Understanding Drug Tests
A drug test involves technical analysis of a biological specimen, such as urine, hair, blood, breath, sweat, or oral fluid/saliva, to detect specific parent drugs or their metabolites. Drug tests are used in various contexts, including athletic compliance, workplace screenings, and legal substance restrictions, with BAC (blood alcohol content) often measured by breathalyzer.
Impact of Passive Smoke Inhalation on Marijuana Test Results
Inhaling "passive" marijuana smoke in a shared space typically does not lead to false positives, as laboratory thresholds are set beyond levels affected by passive exposure.
Other abnormalities in urine samples may indicate false negatives or tampering, such as:
- Low creatinine levels suggesting dilution by excess water intake or sample adulteration.
- The use of creatinine and specific gravity measures to identify sample dilution. Coloring toilet water can prevent sample adulteration.
- Addition of enzymes might alter pH levels, also tested to gauge sample integrity.
Drug Detection Timeframes
Various factors influence drug detection periods, including:
- Dosage size of drug taken
- Frequency of drug intake
- Type of drug consumed
- Individual's metabolic rate and health condition
- Fluid intake post-ingestion
- Exercise routine since consumption
- Genetic factors impacting drug metabolism

Local Area Info: Brandon, Florida
Brandon is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States. It is part of the Tampa–St. Petersburg–Clearwater Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2010 census, the CDP had a population of 103,483, up from 77,895 at the 2000 census.
Its history began on January 20, 1857, when John Brandon (1809–1886) arrived at Fort Brooke (now Tampa) from Mississippi with his first wife Martha (1813–1867) and six sons. At first he moved his family to what is now the Seffner area. Then in August 1858, John Brandon purchased 40 acres (160,000 m2) in the New Hope area (now Brandon) and 160 acres (0.65 km2) later on and then named his land "Brandon". John and his second wife Victoria's house was located on what would become the corner of Knights Avenue and Victoria Street. Four years later, the New Hope Church was built on land donated by Brandon. Besides being the first church in the community, it also served as Brandon's first school.
In 1890, the Florida Central and Peninsular Railroad came through the area, encouraging the people of New Hope to build a depot on Moon Avenue. Charles S. Noble, an engineer for the FC&P, was asked to plat approximately forty acres of land north of present-day State Road 60, south of Lake Meade, east of Kings Avenue, and west to Parsons Avenue. Filed on April 24, 1890, the surveyor named the community in honor of John Brandon and Noble Street for himself.
